The new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo: Engines, prices, technology and ECO label
The first BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo receives a profound aesthetic and mechanical update. In addition to incorporating the latest advances in driving assistance, the new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo receives the ECO environmental label in Spain thanks to the 48V, Mild Hybrid technology in all engines.
Manufactured in Dingolfing, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo has sold more than 50,000 units worldwide so far. Now, with the new design, the vehicle emphasizes its sporty presence thanks to a greater role of the kidneys and narrower headlights. In addition, for the first time, headlights with BMW Laser technology can be optionally equipped. At the rear, it stands out that all engines are equipped with trapezoidal tailpipes. The M Sport trim also receives a new design and the optionally selectable M Sport brakes can now include blue or red calipers.
Inside, the 12.3-inch main screen presides over the instrument panel and the 7.0 operating system; the most modern in terms of functionality and connectivity. Interior finishes include Dakota leather as standard, new trim, and interior HVAC and entertainment options.
In the technical section, the 8-speed automatic transmission is standard throughout the range and there are options in practically all engines to choose the intelligent BMW xDrive all-wheel drive. The integral active steering has been revised to offer greater assistance in low speed maneuvers. In the suspension scheme, the pneumatic rear axle with self-leveler is standard. Optionally, air suspension can be integrated on both axles, adaptive suspension or Executive Drive with roll stabilizer. *
The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is one of the first BMW models to integrate, in addition to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto.
It will be priced at € 65,800 with the 6 Series Gran Turismo 620d model with 190hp diesel.
